So, recently a friend of mine and I were discussing how we miss having the free time to do things such as write stories, develop our skills at creating pieces of art, and just being plain creative! Going to school and learning does a good job of working the left side of the brain... but what about the right!? The absolute worst thing that could happen is that we're left with people with swollen left sides of their heads! How unattractive!
To prevent this tragic thing from happening to us, we made our own small club here at BYU called the "Amazing, fantastic, creative, work the right side of the brain club" (actually I just made that up, but it sounds like a pretty sa-weet name lol) This club consists of three members so far, counting myself, and we meet up at the skyroom at five o clock on Friday evenings and share some of things we have been working on. Whether its the barebones of a story, or a picture drawn from pencil, or a poem, we try to come up with at least something to share and let be critiqued by others. The meeting place helps us get insights on how to make that particular thing better, as well as praise for a job well done. The club gives us an opportunity to share and work our imaginations like we did back in the younger days. We also have writing prompts and other activities planned to do while we meet with each other.
To give you a taste of what we are doing, I have a few prompts/questions that will get you thinking. Please respond to any or all or answer them in your mind. Either way, hopefully this will help you exercize the right side of your brain to help keep everything in equalibrium :)
1.) List 12 rules youve broken...
2.) List 7 of the worst things to say to someone who just got dumped... (lol I like this one)
3.) List 10 things following the phrase " I wish I knew what it feels like..."
4.) This passed week I had a dream that...
Ill make sure to keep updates on what creative things I finish or am working on. Feedback is always welcome!! :)

I love this idea!! Save everything you do. You will never be in the same place in life again. This is your "now" perspective. Preserve it.
k, your little exercise was actually really difficult. does that mean there's something wrong with the right side of my brain? i've been having trouble with facial recognition lately. i heard that you can severely damage the right side of your brain and never even notice. (ok, i saw it on House, not the most reliable source, but still...) :)
